What to Watch: F1 Documentaries
Netflix released the documentary Schumacher last September 15 and it was well received. For someone who started watching Formula One because of Michael, it was a treat to watch something that tried to encapsulate who this racing superstar is. Certainly there’s a lot more to tell and I personally felt that they held back a lot out of respect since until now we’re all still hoping for him to wake up. There’s enough though, both good and bad, to inspire any racing fan to continue being passionate about the sport.
Having said that, I can’t recommend enough another documentary on perhaps one of the all time greats – Senna. This one is riveting from start to finish as it should be because there’s no other way to give tribute to the remarkable life of Ayrton. He embodies what is is to live on the edge and to give it your all every single time you put yourself out there. You don’t have to be a fan of racing to agree what a great person he is and to appreciate that this is a masterpiece of a film.
