Top Empanada Picks: Casa Luisa and Abayon’s

We just had to rave about the unique flavors of the empanadas that made Casa Luisa in Laguna famous after having been able to finally taste it last month. We love empanada and we’ve tried a lot but they truly have the best array of choices we’ve see so far.

However, for us, nothing beats old school chicken empanada and we’ve found one that’s yet unbeaten. It’s Abayon’s which is made by Seaside in Mati, Davao Oriental.

We’re sure there’s more out there. We haven’t found one in the Visayas yet but for now we leave you with these two to try.
