Too Many London Bookshops, Too Little Time

They say that print including books are going to be obsolete soon. Well, London will prove you wrong. To start off, we’re pretty sure that we could have contributed many photos to Instagram account @hotdudesreading (this is legit!) if only we weren’t so shy since we came across many dudes deserving to be part of that account. Second and more importantly, bookshops are literally everywhere which is why this city is a certified heaven for bookworms.

We only got to visit a few, relative to the total number, and only got to remember taking photos of three places because we got so engrossed with browsing and then immediately left excited with our purchases sine we can’t wait to get started on the pages. Daunt Books in Marylebone is a charming neighborhood bookshop with a very friendly staff and a pretty wide selection packed in a neatly organized space. The historical Hatchards, UK’s very first bookshop, can be overwhelming at first so make sure to leave ample time to go through all the offerings of each floor. On the other hand, very near Hatchards is Maison Assouline, a modern bookshop that was founded in Paris. It can be intimidating at first but it’s nice to settle in and soak in a unique bookshop experience.
