The Book of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki
The Book of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki
It took us a while to get into the rhythm of the book. In fact, we had to park it after only a few chapters. It took two false restarts before we fully delved into it again with no interruptions until we reached the very last page.
To say that this book is packed is an understatement. There is so much going on. There a number of story within a story but trust the brilliant Ruth Ozeki to neatly tie all of them together so instead of getting dizzy, you are enamored. There is so much you can learn and even what is dubbed by magical realism by some can actually be reality depending on which perspective you will take. It’s how awesome this The Book of Form and Emptiness is. And my, how you will love Benny. For us, he is the glue that holds it all together.
