Saigon Eats: Nha Hang Ngon

We passed by the restaurant several times while walking around the streets of Saigon on our first day and so we were happy to find out that we were eating there on our first night. The restaurant is always full but we were lucky enough to arrive minutes before the throng of dinner patrons arrived. It’s a huge area full of bustling activity that somehow adds to the excited energy of tasting local food in a city we’re visiting for the first time. We were, of course, careful to note that there were a lot of foreigners and near a tourist area so this might not be an authentic experience. The food took a while to arrive but since there were a lot to distract us apart from the ongoing conversation in our little table, we did not really mind. We liked everything and, of course, we made sure to take photos of some of our favorite items.
