Normal People by Sally Rooney

This book is definitely not for everyone and in fact the best one word to describe it is polarizing. We quite liked it although at times we found it to be disturbing and odd. Maybe it’s meant to be that way but it felt like it’s trying too hard at some points of the book. There is a story to tell though and it is compelling because you know it happens in real life but what’s bothersome are some of the details are sometimes not exactly a fit or overly exaggerated without real context. Be forgiving when you read this book and you might just like it for what it is.
