Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman

If you liked Don from the Rosie series, our previous Bookends feature, then you might also find room in your heart for Eleanor. While there are similarities to both characters, there’s also a lot of differences as well. We’re fans of dead-pan characters who make us question certain conventions and make us realize that life can be simpler indeed. However, in times of distress, we also want to hug them so tight to allow them to let emotions be felt without completely losing the logic of the situation. Yes, Eleanor is completely fine but we hope that she finally sees that life could still be better.
