Davao Trail Hike: Angel’s View

In the spirit of doing something to make the start of the year exciting, we took it upon ourselves to try out a new activity – hiking! Cities around Mt. Apo, the highest peak in the country, is blessed to have many hike trails and we decided to conquer one of them. The Angel’s View trail is located in Toril, Davao City. It’s short and not as elevated as the others, making it an easy target. We went up early so we mostly got started together with the experts who seemed to be just walking at the park. On our way down, we saw families with little kids and groups of friends carrying bags of snacks. We came prepared with a walking stick on hand which was very helpful especially for the really muddy parts of the trail. This was different from our usual activities and it certainly was very fun which reminded us that sometimes it’s good to get out of our comfort zone.
