Davao Eats: Huckleberry Southern Kitchen and Bar

Replacing Cellar De Oboza is a cozy resto bar called Huckleberry. We came in early to make sure that we finished our food before the place turns into a drinking place deep into the night but because of the liquor ban we also already started sampling their bar specialties beginning with the mojito while waiting to kick-off our dinner.

We really enjoyed the pomelo salad, slow roast beef, jerk chicken quesadilla and of course the southern fried chicken. Most of the patrons started coming in at around ten in the evening and we stayed on for two more hours to chat but had to leave when we got tired of trying to talk over the music because our mistake was the we sat at the table right next to the DJ’s booth 😀
