The Mystery of the Enchanted Crypt by Eduardo Mendoza

Whenever we travel, we try to always buy at least one book that is written by a local author. It’s a big bonus if the book takes place in the same town/city/country that we are visiting. Eduardo Mendoza’s The Mystery of the Enchanted Crypt fulfills both criteria. It also turned out to be a well-written and thrilling page turner. We finished it in the half day that we allotted for hanging out at the park. We found ourselves so engrossed with the story but every now and then we pause as we try to trace the streets and locations mentioned in the book. We’re always happy to chance upon gems like this one and wish for the book to be distributed to a wider audience for more people to enjoy.
