Pandemic Catch-up at Hola Bombon
Before the pandemic, we loved eating at restaurants and so one of the things we worried about was if our favorite restaurants would survive this very serious challenge. We vowed to help as much as we could by ordering often if they offered take out menus or meal plans and to start eating out again as soon as it is safe is to do so.
It is for this reason that we found ourselves at Hola Bombon one Thursday evening with no other patrons around. We ordered a lot for two people and even ordered sangrias. We made sure to make it worth the time and effort of the kitchen and frontline teams that evening. We quite enjoyed the meal even if it’s missing the usual vibe the place has to offer. The food was good although the veal could have been cooked better and the fact is there’s really no better Basque Burnt Cheesecake than the real thing. We especially loved the Gambas and the Paella Negra. As we were about to leave, two pairs of patrons arrived and that made us happy knowing that means more sales before it closes for the day.
