Marufuku: A Japanese Delight in Ortigas

Judging from the many Japanese restaurants featured on this site, one can assume how much we love this cuisine. We rarely find ourselves in Ortigas but one weekday we had to have lunch in the area so we finally got to try this small but popular Japanese place called Marufuku. Since the area is small, go to this place only if you don’t mind a bit of chaos since it can be noisy and there’s not enough space in between tables. Maybe it’s the kind of buzzing activity you need if your workplace is too quiet. More important though is the food served is quite nice. Our favorites are still our usual Makati Jap picks because most of them are more affordable but Marufuku seems to be the best Japanese restaurant to go to in the Ortigas area. I guess that’s why it was packed during our visit even though we made sure to drop by after lunch rush. At the end of the day, it’s still money well spent.
