Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival 2017 Shifen Taiwan

We were lucky that our Taipei trip coincided with the Lantern Festival. While we were hopeful that we will still be able to get slots to be at the main release area if we arrive early on the day of the festival, we knew our chances were slim. Despite not being able to get a slot we still reveled at the atmosphere and sometimes we were reflective while reading the writings on the lantern. There was no judgement instead just a realization that there are far more things that unite us than divide us.
