Davao Eats: The Fat Cow
We’ve always been wanting to try out this restaurant since it opened but there’s always a line so when a friend recommended it recently, we decided to check if we’ll be lucky this time around. Well, knowing the people of Davao, the hoopla has indeed died down and we were comfortably seated as soon as we arrived. We were a big group so we got to try a lot of things. You will see in the photos that we’re pasta and meat lovers so there’s a lot of that on our table that evening. In fact only one person ordered fish, salmon in particular, which came out perfectly cooked and it’s the same for the potatoes that were served with it.
Of all the pasta that we ordered, it was the Truffle Pasta that we liked best. And among the meat, the Asian Glazed Pork Belly was the winner. Only the burger fell short of our expectations. Kitchen and Dining service was also commendable since the food was served faster than the usual serving time and waiters were quick to refill our cups with water or to ask if there’s anything else we need.
Everything went well, maybe because all this was happening under the watchful eye of the young chef owner, Patrick Co, who was quietly observing on the sidelines.
