Kadayawan 2013 Side Activities:
Bonsai & Exhibit Competition
and The 1st Davao Motorshow
Tired from the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan the day before, we opted to just watch the Pamulak Kadayawan on television. We did have the chance to take a closer look at the participating floats of S&R and SM as both were displayed in their respective parking lots after the parade.
We also decided to check out other side activities going on around the metro. The 10th Anniversary of the Bonsai & Exhibit Competition is a fitting tribute to the flora and fauna that abound the city. This year was extra special as three entries of my cousin garnered awards.
To cater to the city’s car enthusiasts Petron held their first ever Davao Motorshow. The mini-event showcased high-end cars to the delight of the kids and the dads who gamely posed with the fancy vehicles.
The chatters around the events range from mere admiration to those who were inspired by the entries to grow a bonsai of their own and for the boys to go back home and tinker with their cars for another one of those long distance drives, one of the more popular hobbies not just in Davao but in the whole of Mindanao.
