Fridate No. 7: Ba Nois
For those in search of the ultimate Vietnamese food, Ba Nois is back with a vengeance in Makati. It has re-opened recently in Perea Street right next to Mom and Tina's.
What was once a hole in the wall restaurant located at the more quiet far end of the street has now embraced a modern but humble look and moved closer to where the action is.
What is more important is that the food, initially unanimously agreed upon by customers as really delicious but as days passed was subject to debate because repeat customers complained of declining quality, is now consistently great. Well, that is if we will base it on the last three times we visited the place.
They have some additions to the menu but our all time favorites like the Fresh Spring Roll, Grilled Chicken and Vietnamese Rice remains to be unbeaten.
They say Vietnamese food is healthy so young professionals in the area can now enjoy their meals without feeling guilty.
