Boracay's Best Hotel
I've been to Boracay so many times mostly because of
work but also for vacation but always with friends. For the
summer of 2013, my family decided to spend our summer
holiday there. It will be the first time for my father, brother
and my nieces to visit the island so as a treat to them
I decided that we will stay in Discovery Shores. It is after
all our first family vacation since my mother passed away
two years ago.
There are so many things about this hotel that
we loved but for the sake of brevity, I will only
be listing down six. I will also be sharing with you
some photos to show what a wonderful
experience we had.
1. The rooms are very spacious. I shared a room with
my brother and father and even then we had enough
space for three more people. We were also lucky to be
very near the pool and the beachfront.
2. Speaking of the the pool, it is very child friendly. Although they have an adult section, it is not very deep
so you can have the kids swim there as well even if the adult they're with doesn't know how to swim (ahem, ahem).
My niece also loved the chocolate drink while my Ate and I enjoyed the fried banana, both are just some of the snacks
served on the pool side from 10AM to 4PM.
3. The breakfast buffet selection is complete
which means you can just have soup and bread,
salads and fruits or rice and viand or all of those
combinations. Best of all, and I'm telling you I have one
friend who said she'll book the hotel only for this,
they have unlimited Yakult!
4. Beachfront amenities and attendants
are commendable. They have ready towels,
offer you water as soon as you sit down, clean
your shades and they even serve pass around
food to nibble on during your swim breaks.
5. The hotel is quite far from the other stations,
so for those times that you don't feel like walking
in the beach after a long hard day or during
noon time where sun is scorching, you can
have a van take you to where ever you want to go.
6. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
From the moment you land until you leave,
everyone is smiling and ready to assist at all times.
Our favorites though are the household staff
and the pool attendant and the beachfront butler.
With that I can say that Discovery
was worth it. That and hopefully
we can go back again soon.
