Dining with a view in Davao
Davao City is a certified haven for foodies. There is an abundance of fruits and vegetables, fresh seafood of all kinds are always available in the markets plus some exotic dishes are also in the menu for those with adventurous taste buds.
So what else could be better that eating all of those delicious offerings? Well, a good view of course. In this feature, we give you photos taken during night time from two of Davao's most famous restaurants that not only serves good food but also has a really good view of the city.
There's Jack's Ridge located near another famous Davao landmark - the Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus of Prague. The complex not only has a big main restaurant but it also has a coffee shop, playground for the kids, rooms to stay in, pool to swim in and even an open area for events. All of these make it the default choice for locals and tourists.
However recently another option is slowly gaining ground. Vista View, formerly Dencio's Kamayan, offers mainly just dining and the view. They do have "hanging" nipa huts for a more intimate group gathering and don't forget to order the Boodle Bilao Fight. A boodle fight comprises of rice topped with different viands and served on a bilao. You usually eat it using your hands but you can also ask for utensils.
Next time you're in Davao, make sure to check out both restaurants!
