Around Tokyo: Shinjuku
One of our favorite places in Tokyo is Shinjuku. If you notice many of the brunch places we suggested in our past features are located in this area. Thanksgiving in Tokyo Article
Apart from eating though, there are still other things you can do around Shinjuku. On quiet mornings, it's nice to walk around the less crowded areas and on the evenings, especially during Christmas, it's nice to take the time out to look at the lights and just marvel at the bustling sight of people going about their night activities. This is a treat especially since walking around the city is avoided as much as possible here in Manila where the air is polluted.
It is also in Shinjuku where you will find Sekaido. It is a haven for people whose hobbies include drawing, painting and making arts and crafts. It absolutely has everything so a word of caution to those who are into those hobbies mentioned, allocate at least half a day going through each and every shelf of wonderful things, some very useful while some others are just too cute not to purchase.
Takashimaya is also one place you should check out. For more cute and interesting items, go to Tokyu Hands. When you're already tired from all the shopping then have some crepe at Donatello's for a refreshing breather.
